Part of the Charisma Project is examining the processes and systems required for sharing complex analytical data used in the field of conservation science.

Initial Case study

The Users’ Group for Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography (MaSC) was established in March 2003 as a discussion forum for conservation scientists who wish to exchange information. Part of this work has been the instigation of a process to gather mass spectrometric data from a variety of appropriate institutions. To help facilitate this process a web-base system for the submission and formatting of mass spectrometric data has been developed.
